The Importance of the Universal Church
Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.."

It is interesting to go back in history to documents such as the Nicene Creed, written in 381, and see the words “holy catholic church”. This holy catholic church was not referring to the Roman Catholic church but to the UNIVERSAL or one church of Jesus Christ. The word Catholic refers the miraculous act of the gospel in creating a unified church of believers throughout time not limited by geographic location (The Universal Church). Paul made reference to this powerful result of the gospel in Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus". The power of the gospel has given us a community that spans over every border, crosses every culture and overcomes every language barrier. That is amazing! We live in our local churches resisting this truth in so many ways. Our focus is on a large L (Local) and a small u (Universal).

Cam led a team from Michigan in August to help begin the construction process for Roca Viva's new home. It was a great time of encouraging the church family at Roca as they took this new step of faith, trusting God to bring in the needed resources to build their new home.

Just a few weeks ago the church planting launch team of 6 families were sent out from La Fe to begin the process of starting a new church in the town of Misicata. We are excited to see them move forward and would ask that you pray for these families as they face new challenges and opportunities.
Servant Leaders
In September the Servant Leaders team voted to bring on another missionary family, Sam and Colleen Froese. Sam and his family will work with SL to help with the technology aspect of our partnerships. Sam has been instrumental in creating the ethnos platform and looks forward to expanding SL's ability to assist our local church partnerships to leverage technology in mobilizing their members.
